Lashawn Whitehead, a 21 year old from Raleigh North Carolina, was recently indicted and convicted of animal abuse.

Apparently this scumbag set a female dog on fire.

North Carolina, apparently some sort of sick safe haven for animal abusers, has a maximum sentence of probation

for animal abuse.

The recovering dog has been adopted but had to have it’s ears cut off and is badly scared. The dog was left outside after the incident for about 2 weeks.

Susie the dog is now inspiring a statewide push for stiffer penalties for animal cruelty. A state senator plans to introduce new legislation that could provide jail time to animal abusers.

Susie continues to do better and is quite popular.
